Makes 6-8 servings
I large basket strawberries, hulled and halved
1 pint blackberries
1 pint raspberries
1 pint blueberries
1/3 cup sugar
¾ cup heavy whipping cream
½ 8-ounce container mascarpone
2 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons limoncello (lemon liqueur)
Freshly grated lemon zest, for garnish
1. In a large bowl, combine the berries with the 1/3 cup sugar and toss gently. Allow the fruit to sit for at least 30 minutes, giving the berries some time macerate in the sugar.
2. In a chilled mixing bowl, combine the whipping cream, mascarpone, 2 tablespoons sugar, and limoncello and whip until soft peaks form.
3. Divide the berries among serving bowls and top with the limoncello cream. Finish by grating fresh lemon zest on top.
